Effective enterprise-class mobile application development demands unique requirements from developers. Written with these demands in mind, Mobile Enterprise Development with Visual Studio 2005 is the first book to provide a 'soup to nuts' view of Windows Mobile development-from application design to deployment and maintenance. This book incorporates the latest tools and technologies like Visual Studio 2005 and the .NET Compact Framework 2.0, and completely covers both C# and VB .NET development.

This book covers all aspects of effective Windows Mobile application development, including user interface usability, development for differing devices, connection of applications to enterprise systems, and deployment strategies. This book is ideal for all developers-whatever level you're at. And the topics covered in this book will answer the questions most commonly asked by enterprise developers.

Author Information

Derek Hodgkins
Derek Hodgkins holds a bachelor of science in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire, and has been programming in the Windows environment since 1994-when in graduate school, he wrote his first program to calculate reagent mixtures for the polymerase chain reaction (or PCR). Since then, Derek has written software for a diverse group of clients including genomics research corporations, medical information system providers, educational institutions, and several major online retailers. With the introduction of Windows CE, Derek came that much closer to realizing his dream of being assimilated by the Borg (he is still waiting for them to show up).
